Lisa Bowman Anderson
I have owned Tennessee Walking Horses for over 37 years. I started with a 13 month old filly, barely broke to ride, and she and I learned together! The slogan “Ride one today and you’ll own one tomorrow” came true over and over with me. Every time I would ride a different horse, I would want it! One led to two, then three, and now we currently own 32 horses! My first horse was my most special as she taught me to ride as a child. I would show her on Saturdays, take her home and turn her out, and trail ride the other days. She was a true versatility champion, and even became a Reserve World Champion.
I am currently involved with everything from showing, to breeding, to versatility. I currently own a breeding stallion, broodmares, padded horses, pleasure horses, and trail horses. I have owned horses that have shown in padded, pleasure, and halter and have been fortunate to have won fifteen World Championships, and one World Grand Championship. I have two sons whom help me with all activities involving the horses.
I have served on numerous Boards throughout the years, including the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders & Exhibitors Association, East Tennessee Walking Horse Association, East Tennessee Walking Horse Trainers Association, Greeneville Board of Realtors, and the Greeneville Greene County Humane Society. Through the East Tennessee Walking Horse Trainers Association we give over 100 gifts to the youth, every year, from the Trainers barn “families” to encourage youth participation. I have also served as Show Manager of numerous Horse Shows.
I have been in Real Estate for over 20 years, and have recently started my own Company, A+ Real Estate, in which I am the Principal Broker. I am also active in a family owned Structural Steel Fabrication Company.
