Dick Gordon
Rufus "Dickie" Gordon, 67, of 5219 Little Mountain Road, Gastonia, passed away Thursday, July 22, 2010, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
He was born Nov. 25, 1942, in Clover, S.C., son of Margaret Hopper Gordon of Clover, S.C., and the late Frank B. Gordon.
Mr. Gordon was active in showing Tennessee Walking Horses and Dirt Track Racing.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Gordon of the home; sons, Rick Gordon of Gastonia, Scott Gordon of Gastonia, Greg Gordon of Stanley; sister, Kay Bailey of York, S.C.; grandchildren, Alexis Gordon, Savannah Gordon, Brady Gordon.
