Celebrating 50 Years of Distance Competitive Trail Riding
Sedalia, Colorado, USA – November 18, 2010 – On February 10 - 13, 2011, NATRC will culminate half a century of promoting horsemanship and horse care as they apply to long distance riding with a 50th anniversary celebration during its three-day national convention at the Embassy Suites Nashville Airport Hotel in Nashville, TN.
Festivities will include a “Walk of Fame” featuring horses and riders who have earned NATRC’s highest awards in each of those 50 years; a display of “Then and Now” videos, cards, logo and other materials; ten speaker sessions covering topics from conditioning and fitness, trailering and colic to chiropractic, animal communication and the spirit of the horse; more than 17 vendors; a Specialized Saddle raffle and numerous door prizes at the speaker sessions. Members and the public are invited to visit our hospitality suite which is open throughout the convention.
Friday’s speakers will be followed by line dancing and a live country and western band, as part of this year’s theme, “NATRC Gone Country”. The awards banquet, which follows the Saturday session of speakers, will include a speech from the 50th Presidents Cup winner and a special recognition ceremony of “Walk of Fame” honorees.
Non-member horsemen and those who would like to know more about horses and the sport of distance riding are invited to attend the speaker sessions, Walk of Fame, vendor shopping, dinners, line dancing and raffle.
